Being asked to be there for the birth

I have been seeing this lady since October during my monthley trips upto NY. She is due March 23rd. This weekend she asked me if I would be there for the birth. I don't know what to say. I live 3 hours away. I would like to say yes but I don't want to commit to something I might not be able to make. I guess my main thing is has anybody ever gotten this request and followed through on it? Thanks

I've never gotten the request before but i'd like to. You should go it's something you almost never get to see in your life. Obviously if you're unable to make it it can't be helped but i would go out of my way to see a woman give birth in real life.

I absolutely would unless its something you find distasteful. You will get to experience the start of a new life. I assume the baby is not yours, but this woman clearly cares about you to give you an invitation like this. I would be honored in your position.

I'm starting to have feelings for her. Luckily she wants to relocate after she settles down with the baby.

Just and update after 7 hours of labor she had a beautiful girl 8lbs. 3oz.

Thank you. Just an update, I'm still with her. We are moving to Vegas at the en of this month. Thanks for all your all your help.
